This Cookie Policy explains how SafeCart ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) when you visit our website or use our business dashboard. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal data more generally. SafeCart is built to be privacy-first. We currently use only strictly necessary (essential) cookies and browser storage required to operate the service. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. Essential purposes include: • Authentication and keeping you signed in to your account • Maintaining your session securely as you move between pages • Security and fraud prevention (including protection against cross-site request forgery) • Remembering your cookie preferences once non-essential cookies are introduced Because these cookies are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested, they do not require consent under EU law.

Authentication & Session (Essential): • Set by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) and stored in your browser to keep you securely logged in. • Typically persists for the duration of your session and is refreshed while you remain active. Cookie Preferences (Essential): • "cookieConsent" — stored in your browser's local storage to remember your choices about non-essential cookies, so we don't ask you again on every visit. Security (Essential): • Tokens and values used to protect forms and requests against cross-site request forgery and abuse. We do not currently set analytics, marketing, advertising, or social media tracking cookies.

Some features rely on trusted service providers who may set cookies or use storage strictly to deliver their part of the service: • Supabase — authentication, database, and session management • Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions (Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout and billing pages to prevent fraud and operate securely) These providers act as our processors or as independent controllers for fraud prevention. If, in the future, we introduce non-essential cookies (for example, analytics or product-improvement cookies), we will: • Display a cookie banner asking for your consent before any such cookies are set • Let you accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or customise your choices • Allow you to change your preferences at any time • Update this Cookie Policy to describe the specific cookies, their purpose, and their duration We will not activate non-essential cookies until you have given your consent where the law requires it.
