Why it's dangerous
Chemical
The product has an excessive amount of methanol (measured value: 0.7%). Moreover, the product contains formaldehyde, which is prohibited in cosmetic products. Methanol is acutely toxic to the central nervous system and the eye. Ingestion of methanol leads to blindness and death. Formaldehyde is a skin sensitiser and can trigger allergic reactions and may cause cancer.
The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
