Why it's dangerous
Chemical
The solders in the product have an excessive concentration of lead, while the plastic material of the cable has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured values up to 62% and 2.9% by weight, respectively). Lead poses a risk to the environment. DEHP pose a risk to human health and the environment
The product does not comply with the requirements of the Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS Directive).
