Douerle toy phone removed from online marketplaces over chemical risk
EU authorities had online listings removed for this product (Douerle toy phone) after it was found to pose a chemical risk. Here is how to tell if you have it, and what to do next.

- Pink plastic toy phone on wheels with a digital keypad and piano keys. The toy can be pulled by a string located in a compartment under the phone. Three small plastic cylinders can be strung around at the back of the toy. Product sold online, in particular via eBay (product identifier: 197503800961).

Why it's dangerous
Chemical
The battery compartment can easily be opened without use of any tools and the batteries inside are easily accessible. If a child puts them in the mouth, the battery can overheat and release electrolyte which can be ingested by the child and cause damage to the gastrointestinal tract.
The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive nor with the European standards EN 71-1 and EN 62115.
