Why it's dangerous
The solders in the product have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 58.3% by weight). In addition, the plastic material in the cord has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (measured values up to 0.48% and 1.04% by weight, respectively). Lead poses a risk to the environment. DEHP and DBP poses a risk to human health and the environment.
